We are celebrating World Leprosy Day on 25 January 2026!
On 27 December 2025, Doddy Agustinus Tumanduk passed away after a long illness. Words cannot capture the depth of this loss. Doddy was not only a lawyer but above all an activist for marginalized communities—people living with HIV/AIDS, persons with disabilities, and especially those affected by leprosy. For two decades he was our colleague, friend, and mentor, walking alongside PerMaTa and, since 2020, serving as Chair of the YDTI Board. He gave generously of his time and energy to support YDTI and its members, stepped in whenever we needed him, enriched us with bold and creative ideas, and stood by us in moments of challenge. His heart beat strongly for people affected by leprosy and for his close friends in this community. He gave everything he had with compassion and unwavering commitment. We will miss him more than words can say. Our thoughts are with his family—his wife and three young children—at this time of profound loss.
